RETURN

After 2 months, I have returned!

Lets start at the beginning. We went to Pakistan and it was cold. A little while later it was still cold. A few days after that and the cold continued. Thats all that happened. Cold, weddings, food, shopping and cold. I'd rather not say more, for fear of boring certain people to death. It got terribly tense the week before my results were announced. I couldn't sleep. I did well though I was accepted into UCT and Wits med....

(Then happened Xmas and New Year)

I got home on the 27th January. Registered on Monday and got a student card with a horriffic pic of me on it   Fortunately, someone elses's looked much worse than mine so it was ok

O Week. What a nightmare for my feet. If I had to describe Wits in one word, it would be 'stairs'. I didn't go crazy during O week. I only found out later that I was supposed to  Why does no one tell me such things before hand?!?!?! I signed up for a million things, just because I could. People laughed at some of the things though. Seems I joined a weed smoking society by accident

Ooh Ooh!! I joined Wits Model UN and met our very own joburgboy manning the stand Yay! I was very impressed with him, he managed to pronounce my name right first time It takes a helluva lotta skill to do that.

First year Med students need to do a First Aid course if they aren't qualified. Guess who's certificate got lost? Mine. I had to complete the entire 2 day course, one thats 2 levels behind my qualification AND pay R 500 for it  What a waste of my life. I also decided today to change my maths course to Psychology. Not a good plan. My mom ran around wits like a headless chicken trying to get it sorted while I was attempting to revive a dummy  I

Greetings All!

It’s the 15^th of November and I’m officially in between. Not a school girl, not a student. Its really weird to think of myself as an Old Girl…

I must be honest; I thought this day would never come. Its exactly 6 weeks since I started writing. Six long and torturous weeks. The exams did not kill me however. I didn’t not cry after a single one… although I came close after Algebra…

I’m here now. And shall be here until the 5^th of December, when I’ll be dragged away to Pakistan for the holidays. Joy of my life.

I’ll be overseas when my results come through

I really hate this idea that millions of people can have a look at how you did in the exams. It really unnerves me…

It still hasn't really hit home that I'm done with 12 years of schooling. I mean, I've said all my goodbyes, shed the obligatory tears and reminisced with complete randoms... and yet, I still have this feelin that I'll wake up tomorrow at 7, put on my uniform and go to school. This feeling that I'll discuss my weekend with my friends, moan about parents, make snide remarks about teachers, stare distastefully at my uniform and worry about homework that I haven't done (again)...

Its quite sad.

At the same time, I can't help but feel ever so liberated. More than I have ever felt ion my life. I feel so... content

News News !!!!!

I was not accepted into Pretoria Med . I ceased to be pissed or upset when I received the sms from them though. They got my degree wrong and couldn't spell unsuccessful

Wits Med is waiting for my Matric Results before making their decision. Soemone shoot me now.

UCT Med accepted me! Yay! I got cool Res too, so everythings just great However, if I get into Wits, I'm staying in JHB. Partents can't bear to part with me and all that.

Erm... what else is news.... Oh ya, Iv finished Matric  You should've seen me bouncing around the school today...

Oh yes... I am LEGAL!! Although, that's quite old news. I became legal the day before my English exam Needless to say, I haven't had a chance to celebrate properly... PARTY, here I come

Thats all I can think of. Something interesting will come up soon. I'm sure of it...

Finals start tomorrow, which is the reason I've been rather scarce.

I hope I live through it... If not, you are all welcome at my funeral.

Iv'e chopped off a large portion of my one metre long hair. I was feeling rebellious. My mother was not impressed.

Ramadhaan would be going great if I didn't have these constant hunger pains. Its awful trying to study through them...

We just had our Valediction yesterday. Our official goodbye. It finally hit that i was really leaving, had blurry eyes all night

I'm not sure if I'll have the chance to speak to you all during the next 6 weeks so... See you after the 15th November!

I thought I should try my hand at being profound. It did not work out quite as planned, unfortunately. Therefore, I am not. Leave that to the pros.

• I still have not received my results. The universities are being exceptionally slow, and I am still living in this little ball of nervousness… God damn them all!
• My wisdoms have been scared into silence until after Finals. Its incredible how effective some mild persuasion with a hammer can be…
• To MaddMixer: I have no inspiration lately. No energy either. When they come, I shall post an amazingly funny, mind bogglingly witty and completely random post. Please bear with ‘My week so far’ posts until then. My freak funny mood has passed. I swear I am normal again. The flowers look better now! Do not argue with me on that one. Say hi to Cow and Chicken for me. It was good seeing you too. But I’m highly offended as you left without saying goodbye.
• To LoveAndPolitics: There is a gay and lesbian website with the same name as yours. I have no desire to catch Bin Laden as that would be treachery. If you would like to meet him though, I will organise a tea party. My drug-induced high is now over. I am currently very low. I Must Have Codeine!
• To Salaam_Namastes_Cool: I would translate, but I am mighty confused myself.
• To JoburgBoy: Go to the dentist or forever hold the pieces of teeth that could not be saved! I will have to buy a crate of Red Bull… Moreover, get some codeine too (Moreover… Good lord! The sentence sounds ridiculous. I suppose it is better than in addition to, which was its first choice) Last time I mixed the two, I was on the ceiling for hours
• To ChristinaAlexia: Getting high on painkillers RULES! Especially in conjunction with Caffeine…
• To Chainsaws_in_the_morning: Thank you. My life is now complete. I am a happy, fulfilled person
• To Murz_3: The happiness is a façade beneath which I hide my agony. Believe not all you read. (Now that sounds deep)
• To NicNak17: I expect my name to be honoured too! Its sucks that my legality does not actually matter until November, seeing as how I am under house arrest.

Hmm… not bad, I managed to fill an entire A4 page with complete twok, and still sound pompous about it.

To make up for this shocking post and to give me ideas for the next one, you all (being those that commented on my last post, awful as it was…) are allowed to ask me something about me. ANYTHING. I give you permission. And I promise I shall answer. (If it is really embarrassing, I’ll email the answer to you or something)
